About - The Aditya Birla Integrated School

The Aditya Birla Integrated School believes in inspiring potential, with an aim to create happy, confident, balanced and independent learners. Our School is a part of the Aditya Birla Education Trust, headed by Mrs. Neerja Birla.

The Aditya Birla Integrated School aims to empower students with learning disabilities. We endeavour to equip children having learning disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) with strategies to comprehend, retain, and overcome the gaps in their learning skills as they progress on their academic journey.

The school is centrally located at Fort, Mumbai, making it accessible from the Central Suburbs as well as South Bombay.

Curriculum

The Aditya Birla Integrated School offers a choice in Curriculum to students from Grade 7 onwards. Grades 1 to 6 have an independent and integrated program. Students in Grades 7 to 10 have an option to choose between the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) Curriculum or the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) Board Exam. Grades 11 & 12 prepare for the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) Board Exam.

Grades 1 to 6

The Aditya Birla Integrated School offers the Junior School programme to equip our students with the skills necessary for the ever-changing world. Our programme includes creative & critical thinking and appreciation, enquiry & problem solving, generating opinion, compare & contrast, prediction, cause & effect, and cultural appreciation. 

Subjects offered:

Grades 1 – 2: English, Hindi, Information & Communication Technology, Maths, and Environmental Studies

Grades 3 – 6: English, Hindi, Information and Communication Technology, Maths, Theme Science, and Theme Social Studies

Co – curricular activities: Art, Dance & Movement, Physical Education, Robotics Program, Theatre & Dramatics

IGCSE | Grades 7-10

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) offers a flexible course of study to pupils. It provides a broad knowledge base and lifelong skills. Within the curriculum there is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge.

Subjects Offered: English, Business Studies, Information & Communication Technology, Environmental Management, Economics & Geography

Co – curricular Activities: Painting, Theatre & Dramatics, Chess, Curiosity Gym & Physical Education

NIOS | Grades 7 to 10

The curriculum in this section is designed to prepare our students for the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) board exam. This program combines the two critical aspects of comprehension and memory, imperative to achieve the goal of exam completion with relative ease.

Continuous evaluations are a part of this program that helps the student build memory gradually to finally equip themselves with the skill set required to take the board exam and meet its traditional demands, all the while comprehending and relating to all concepts taught to their environment.

Subjects Offered: English, Business Studies, Data Entry Operations, Economics, Home Science, Functional Math and Painting.

Co – curricular Activities: Theatre & Dramatics, Chess, Curiosity Gym & Physical Education

NIOS | Grades 11&12

The Junior College Program trains students to prepare for the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) Grade 12 board exam. The program has been designed for students looking to achieve higher grades with a pace that is evenly spread over two years to complete the grade 12 board exams.

My son Vivaan joined TABIS 5 years ago. My husband and I are so happy we selected this school for him because in spite of him having ADHD he has fit in so perfectly. The school is administered perfectly by Dr. Marker, Mrs. Marker and their team. The various difficulties of the students just seem to vanish at their expert guidance.
